Hello everyone and thank you Pete for allowing me to tell others about myself and the arthritis I have

My name is Abdul, and I am a mature university student with arthritis and limited English skills, so I hope you are able to understand me. My friend Omar at the University also helped write this informations for you.

Balancing my studies while managing persistent pain has been a hard journey for me. However, I recently found a valuable resource called the Pain Toolkit and of course Pete, who has helped me develop self-management skills.

Here's how the toolkit has made a difference in my experience

Simple Information

I like simple information and the Pain Toolkit provides easy-to-understand information about managing pain. As someone with limited English skills, this resource has been useful for me. It breaks down medical words into simpler language, ensuring I can understand and use strategies effectively.

Visual Resources

I am very much a person who learns better by seeing. The toolkit offers me seeing pictures that help my understanding of pain management techniques. These pictures help with language barriers, which help me to understand techniques even without extensive language skills. The seeing resources have been invaluable in my efforts to manage pain and maintain.

Practical Tips and Tools

The Pain Toolkit helps me with practical tips and tools that I can easily put in my daily life. From advices on pacing activities and setting goals. The toolkit presents information in a clear and easy way.

As an older man with limited English skills, the Pain Toolkit and Pete has been a useful resource in my efforts to manage my arthritis and attending university.  I am better suited for the challenges of university life and my health.
