5-Week (2.5hrs a week) Workshop - Tue, 10 May 2022, 09:30 – Tue, 7 Jun 2022, 12:00 BST
"Just what I needed. I had been on other workshops and programmes, which concentrated on the ins and outs of pain but this workshop taught me how to get back control. It was very interactive and really enjoyed the fun elemenent. I really recommend it to others." J.C. England
So, does the three questions below sound like you?
Could you identify with any of the three questions above, then this workshop could be for you.
The main concept of this workshop is to learn some very simple pain self-management skills to increase your confidence, get you back in the driving seat and to increase your quality of life.
Does it work?
Pete says..."Yes, it does, because if worked for me back in 1996, when I attended a Pain Management Programmme (PMP) The programme gave me the tools and skills, but more importantly, the confidence to manage the pain myself. Since 1997, I havent had the need to take any pain medication."
What does supported self-management mean?
We use the term ‘supported self-management’ to mean the ways that health and social care services encourage, support and re-empower people to manage their persistent pain with the help and support of their healthcare worker.
What happens in the workshops
The workshop is run at a pace to suit all participants and there is plenty of interaction. In other words, it’s not a sit a listen workshop and along the way, there will be fun times as well.
Date and time of the workshop
